Read moreRepresentatives of IMMER Group from 6th to 9th September participated in exhibition Riga Food 2017 and met with cooperation partners, clients, students and other interested parties.
The exhibition was also visited by IMMER Group president Irina Miroshnik and technology development director Mehdi Nasirov. During four days of the exhibition it was visited by 39 412 people, including the president of Latvia Raimonds Vejonis, Minister of Agriculture of Latvia Janis Duklavs and other highly-ranked officials.
“Personal conversation during a meeting is important, it promotes trust and improves contact with the client. During exhibition many conversations about cooperation and use of our packaging manufacturing capabilities both in Ventspils and Kiev were held,” said head of sales of Immer Digital Ivars Sudmalis.
A completely unique, innovative, fully recyclable flexible packaging material was presented during the exhibition. The material is made of polymers, although it has tactile and visual characteristics of fabric.
This year 720 companies from 35 countries participated in Riga Food. Visitors had an opportunity to visit 15 national joint stands.
During the Riga Food 2017 exhibition an international packaging competition Riga Food 2017 Packaging No.1 was held. Works by competition participants were exhibited in the vestibule of the exhibition hall. Packaging was judged both by professional jury members from Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Ukraine, and exhibition visitors.
Grand Prix was awarded to SIA Glear for creative daring and combination of successful technical methods in design of Jersikas čipsi packaging. The packaging was manufactured at IMMER Ukrplastic plant.
Packaging of yoghurt drinks Tukuma Piens Baltais Protein also received high praise from the jury. The product design was created during Baltais campaign to support Latvian men’s national basketball team. 16 different design packages for a single flavour were printed at one time at IMMER Digital plant.
Pictures of basketball players on yoghurt bottles also caught attention of exhibition visitors. Visitors named the Baltais Protein yoghurt package as the best in Milk and milk products packaging category.
All packaging that received highest valuation by the jury and Riga Food 2017 visitor’s choice will be exhibited during international packaging technology and logistics exhibition Pakfood 2017, which will take place from the 25th to 28th of September in Poznan, Poland.
IMMER Digital has become a full member of the Federation of Security and Defence Industries of Latvia (DAIF Latvia). Experience of IMMER Group in developing innovative packaging solutions will enable the development of new industry capabilities and offers for national and international security.
